CV SCREENING · A BRAIVEX PRODUCT

Every score quotes its CV.

Drop a folder of CVs on it and HireSieve screens them against a rubric written from your own job advert. Each number on the shortlist points at the line of the CV that earned it, and the same files give the same scores every time you run them. When a candidate asks, twelve months on, why they were not shortlisted, you can show them.

Set up in three steps

The software prepares a shortlist. Someone on your team reads it and decides.

01 · SIGN UP

Five screenings free

Create your organisation and screen five CVs at no cost. Claude Opus 5.5 is included, so there is no AI key to find or pay for.

02 · SCREEN

Drop CVs in a folder

Put the files in the role's folder and press Scan folders. Before anything is sent to the model, a preview lists how many CVs it found, which folder they are in and which rubric will score them.

03 · READ

Open the shortlist

Candidates arrive ranked, with a quote from the CV under every criterion. A candidate who misses a hard requirement is marked not eligible and keeps their full score, so a person can still read the case.

What one row looks like

A fictional candidate against a fictional rubric. Point at any criterion to see where its points came from.

DEMONSTRATION · FICTIONAL DATA
Ada ExampleRetail assistant · fictional
82.4
Weights 30 + 20 + 30 + 20 = 100. The engine refuses a rubric that sums to anything else. Points 82.4. Each one traces to a line above.

Change one weight and the others give way

Drag any slider. The other weights adjust, every score is restated and the total stays at 100, because the engine refuses to load a rubric whose weights add up to anything else.

30 × 0.90 = 27.0
20 × 1.00 = 20.0
30 × 0.78 = 23.4
20 × 0.60 = 12.0
Weights 100. Always, or the rubric will not load. Score 82.4 · fictional candidate, fictional rubric

The safeguards are in the code, with tests behind them

Most of the six below are behaviours the test suite checks on every change.

NO AUTO-REJECTS

Humans decide, always

A candidate who fails a hard requirement is labelled not eligible. Their score, their evidence and their record stay on the shortlist for a person to read.

EVIDENCE TRAIL

Every number has a quote

For each criterion the model supplies a factor between 0 and 1 and the CV line that justifies it. One Python engine turns those into points, so the same CV and rubric give the same score, byte for byte, on every run.

NOT MEASURED

What it refuses to look at

No detector for AI-written text, no grammar score, no judgement on job titles, no inference from a name or a school, no social-media lookups, no weight given to a photo or to the length of the CV. Career gaps and part-time work are flagged for a person to ask about and never scored.

ACCESS CONTROL

Roles, invites, a visible ledger

Four roles: owner, admin, member and viewer. New users join by invitation, up to your plan's seats. Every credit your organisation receives or spends is listed on its billing page, and each organisation's candidates stay in its own workspace. Sign-in is provided by Braivex Accounts using Shopify customer accounts, which process your sign-in email address and the one-time code sent to it.

RETENTION

12 months, then swept

Records, CV files, the registry and the event log are covered by one retention sweep, twelve months after screening. It runs as a dry run first and deletes only when you tell it to. Demo data is fiction and removes itself the first time real data arrives.

YOUR PAPERWORK

The paperwork, as drafts

A DPIA, a legitimate interests assessment, a record of processing and the candidate-facing Article 13 notice ship with the product. They are drafts with [CONFIRM] markers where only you can supply the fact, and a director signs before anything is published.

What it refuses to measure

Using any of these would put you on the wrong side of the Equality Act, so the engine will not load a rubric that asks for them.

Why no AI detector: Liang and colleagues at Stanford found in 2023 that GPT detectors misclassify non-native English writing as AI-generated (arXiv:2304.02819).

Book a demo and bring your hardest role

Screen one CV and read what comes back

A fictional CV against a fictional rubric for a shift supervisor. Press the button and the software marks the lines it used as evidence, the requirement it could not find, and the one line a reader was never meant to see.

Reads well. Now screen it.

Works with every job board, because it starts from the file

LinkedIn, Indeed, Reed, Totaljobs, CV-Library, Monster, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, Guardian Jobs and Jobsite all let you download or email the applications you receive. HireSieve screens the file, so there is no API to connect, no password to hand over and no scraper.

01 · EXPORT

Download the CVs

Download the applications from the board and drop them into the role folder. PDF and Word files are accepted, and photographed CVs are read too when the OCR tool is installed.

02 · FORWARD

Or forward the emails

Set a mail rule that saves application emails into the inbox folder. HireSieve lists what arrived, guesses the role from the subject line, and waits for someone to confirm before anything is filed or screened.

03 · AUTOMATE

From folder to shortlist

Batches, evidence, pipeline stages and retention are handled for you. A person approves each rubric before it scores anyone, and makes every hire.
